Veteran Stand Down Event
Wake County Veterans Services, in partnership with Veterans Bridge Home and local service providers, is holding a free one-day event connecting veterans to housing, healthcare, benefits, and more. The event will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm at William Peace University in Raleigh.
No appointments are necessary. Services include:
- Showers and hygiene kits
- Free breakfast and lunch
- Housing resources and support
- Healthcare screenings
- Veteran Affairs benefits assistance
- Employment and job services
- Legal aid
- Clothing
- Pet veterinary services (Limited hours: 8:30–11:30 a.m.)
